Our Main Activities

  • Tamil Chambers works on a project mode basis. Several projects have been initiated so far and many more are still to be identified. Working on a project basis gives a lot of flexibility and is more motivating for members. Our objectives work significantly around human resource development; changing individuals, educating people, reform them and motivate them. For these reasons, most projects have so far been devoted on training and sensitization.
  • A sensitization campaign through workshops around the country, pamphlets distributed during main events such as Govinden Thiruvizha, intensive networking and canvassing.
  • Elementary training provided to the community through workshops in koyils around the country.
  • Setting up a network of people of value who can help us in our mission.
  • Ensuring that the organization is present at major events in the community and reporting back on these events.
  • Preparing a newsletter which will serve as a communication medium and which will facilitate the training process.
  • Launch a website that provides a unique interface between members and affiliates of the organization and other organizations of the local community.
  • Setting up of a database management system whereby the organization will be able to assess the needs of the community and ease distribution of information in the community.
  • Consultancy work to potential entrepreneurs and small businesses.
  • Fulfilling the role of interface with other business groups of other communities and other countries.
  • The key them is connecting members of the community and promoting a socio-economic development path that includes all individuals of the community.
